George Chryssochoidis taught Marketing and Strategy at Cardiff Business School, UK for several years before joining the Agricultural University of Athens. He is also accredited as an expert in international marketing by the ITC (WTO/UNCTAD).

His work has mainly focused upon food marketing and innovation management. He has published in the Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Marketing, the Journal of Global Marketing, the European Journal of Marketing, the International Journal of Technology Management, the European Journal of Innovation Management, and the Journal of Product Innovation Management among others. He has also co-edited a book upon Internationalization Strategies published by Macmillan Publishers while authored over 20 additional publications in peer reviewed research monographs and proceedings.

He has recently completed an extensive research project funded by the Greek Ministry of Agriculture regarding Greek consumer decision making towards organic foods.

The project focus was the factors that will drive greater adoption of organic food products by the wider public in Greece.
