Diane has worked as an independent consultant since 1997, undertaking a range of projects for consumer groups, research and professional bodies. She is involved in EU-funded research projects and co-ordinated the FoodBRAND consumer workshop. She has recently worked as a consultant to the FAO Secretariat of the Pan-European Conference on food quality and safety and, to the EC (DG Research) on an assessment of the FLAIR-FLOW Europe project. She is currently working with BEUC (the European Consumers Association Organisation) on its EU-funded Consensus workshops project - (www.consensusworkshops.org). Role in project: Attend and contribute to management meetings throughout the course of the project Input NGO and consumer organisation input in to the design and execution of studies and the interpretation of the findings Produce brochure for NGOs/consumer organisations detailing the results from the research Incorporate guidelines on organic regulation into the NGO and the industry brochures Present consumer perspective at the dissemination workshops |
